Definition

assert /ǝ'sɜ:t/ v ၁။ (က) (သူတစ္ပါးလက္ခံေအာင္) အခိုင္အမာ ဆိုသည္။ ရဲရဲတင္းတင္းေျပာသည္။ assert one's authority/ independence/ rights. (ခ) ~ oneself အမ်ားဂ႐ုမူ ေလးစား ေအာင္ လုပ္ျပသည္။ ။ You're too timid—you must try to assert yourself more. ၂။ မွန္ကန္ေၾကာင္း အားႏွင့္မာန္ႏွင့္ ျပတ္ျပတ္သားသားေျပာသည္။ She asserted her innocence/ that she was innocent. ❍ ‘The effects of nuclear war vary greatly,’ he asserted.
