competence /'kɒmpÇtǝns/ n [U] ၁။ ~ (as/in sth); ~ (in doing sth/to do sth) ကြၽမ္းက်င္လိမၼာမႈ။ လုပ္ရည္ကိုင္ရည္။ အရည္အခ်င္း။ အစြမ္းအစ။ No one doubts her competence as a teacher. ❍ Many have begun to doubt the government's competence in managing/to manage the economy. ၂။ ( law ) လုပ္ပိုင္ခြင့္အာဏာ။ matters within/beyond the competence of the court (ie ones that it can/cannot legally deal with).
