advise / ǝd'vaÇz / v ၁။ ~ (sb) against sth/doing sth; ~ sb (on sth) အႀကံေပးသည္။ အႀကံျပဳသည္။ တိုက္တြန္းသည္။ The doctor advised (me to take) a complete rest. ❍ They advised her against marrying quickly. ❍ She advises the government (on economic affairs). ❍ We were advised not to drink the water. ❍ We advised that they should start early/advised them to start early. ❍ I'd advise taking a different approach. ❍ Can you advise (me) what to do next? ၂။ ~ sb (of sth) ( esp commerce ) တရားဝင္ အေၾကာင္းၾကားသည္။ အသိေပးသည္။ Please advise us of the dispatch date / when the goods will be dispatched. ❍ We were not advised that the date of the meeting has been changed. ❏ advisedly / ǝd'vaÇzǝdli / adv ( fml ) စဥ္းစဥ္းစားစား။ တမင္တကာ။ I use these words advisedly. ❏ be well advised [ IDM ] သင့္ေတာ္သည္။ သင့္ေလ်ာ္သည္။ ေလ်ာ္ကန္သည္။ ေကာင္းပါ(လိမ့္)မယ္။ You would be well advised (ie sensible) to stay indoors.
