parade /pǝ'reÇd/ n [C] ၁။ (အခမ္းအနား) စီတန္းလွည့္လည္ျခင္း၊ စီတန္းလမ္းေလွ်ာက္ျခင္း။ a May Day/ an Easter/ a Victory Parade ❍ a parade of players before a football match ❍ a fashion parade (ie one in which models display new clothes to an audience). ၂။ စစ္ေရးျပ။ a military parade. ၃။ ( often derog ) ျပစားဝင့္ဝါျခင္း။ He's always making a parade of his wealth. ၄။ (esp in names) ေဈးဆိုင္တန္း (သို႔) အမ်ားလမ္းေလွ်ာက္ အပန္းေျဖရန္ေနရာ။ walk along North Parade ❍ a shopping parade. v ၁။ (က) စီတန္း အင္အားျပ ခ်ီတက္သည္။ The demonstrators paraded through the city. (ခ) ျမင္သာေအာင္ ေလွ်ာက္ျပသည္။ လမ္းသလားသည္။ She paraded up and down in her new hat. ❍ The horses are being paraded round the enclosure. ၂။ ထုတ္ျပသည္။ တန္းစီျပသည္။ She never paraded her learning or experience. ❍ The hostages were paraded in front of the cameras. (၃) (က) တန္းစီသည္။ The colonel paraded his troops. (ခ) တန္းစီျပသည္။ အစီအရီထုတ္ျပသည္။ ( fig ) Many arguments were paraded in favour of this policy. ၄။ ~ (sb/ sth) as sth (မဟုတ္သည္ကို ဟုတ္ေလဟန္) ဗန္းတင္သည္။ Several versions of the story were parading as the truth. ❍ This man had been paraded as a hero of the people. ❏ on parade [ IDM ] (က) စစ္ေရးျပလ်က္ရိွသည္။ The regiment is on parade.
