prick /prÇk/ v ၁။ (က) ~ sth ( with sth ) (အပ္စသည္ျဖင့္) ေဖာက္ သည္။ prick holes in paper with a pin ❍ He pricked the balloon and it burst. (ခ) ~ sth (on/with sth) (ဆူးစသည္) စူးသည္။ She pricked her finger on/with a needle. ❍ Be careful– the thorns will prick you. ၂။ ထိုးဆြေသာအာ႐ံုခံစား ရသည္။ She felt a slight pricking sensation in her throat. ❍ He could feel tears pricking his eyes. ၃။ စိတ္ကို အေႏွာင့္အယွက္ေပးသည္။ His conscience is pricking him now that he realizes what he has done. n ၁။ (⚠ sl ) ေယာက်္ားတန္ဆာ။ ၂။ ( sl derog ) ထံုထိုင္းသည့္အျပင္ ရြံမုန္းစရာေကာင္းေသာ ေယာက်္ား။ Don't be such a prick! ၃။ (က) အပ္၊ ဆူးစသည္ျဖင့္ ထိုးျခင္း။ I gave my finger a prick with a needle.
