၁။ ~ sb/sth (to sb) ရန်သူအားပေးသည်၊ ပြသည်။ betray state secrets ❍ Judas betrayed Jesus to the authorities.
၂။ (က) သစ္စာဖောက်သည်။ betray one's country/one's principles/one's wife ❍ She felt cheated and betrayed. (ခ) အယုံအကြည်မဲ့အောင် လုပ်သည်။ He should have returned the money; he has betrayed our trust.
၃။ (က) (လှစ်ခနဲ၊ မသိမသာ) ပြနေသည်။ She said she was sorry, but her eyes betrayed her secret delight. ❍ His accent betrayed the fact that he was not English.
(ခ) ~ oneself ဇာတိရုပ်ကိုပြသည်။ He had a good disguise, but as soon as he spoke he betrayed himself (ie he was recognized by his voice).
