၁။ (with sb) (for sth) အသနားခံသည်။ plead for mercy ❍ She pleaded with him not to leave her. ❍ The boy pleaded to be allowed to ride on the tractor.
၂။ တောင်းပန်သည်။ He apologized for not coming to the party, pleading pressure of work.
၃။ (law ) (က) လျှောက်လဲသည်။ အမှု လိုက်သည်။ They employed a top lawyer to plead their case. (ခ) ~ for/ against sb ထုချေသည်။
၄။ (law ) ထွက်ဆိုသည်။ လျှောက်လဲသည်။ plead guilty/ not guilty ❍ How do you plead? (ie Said by the judge at the start of the trial). ❍ Counsel for the accused said that he intended to plead insanity (ie that his client was mad and therefore not responsible for his actions).
