၁။ the ~ sb/sth (as sb/sth/that…) (also sometimes preceded by this/that/these/those ) တစ်…တည်း။ We have lived in the same house for twenty years. ❍ He took it off the top shelf and put it back in the same place. ❍ He is the same age as his wife. ❍ She's aged a lot but she is still the same fun-loving person I knew at university. ❍ They both said the same thing. ❍ She did it for the same reason. ❍ I saw the mistake at the (very) same moment that she did. ❍ I resigned last Friday and left that same day.
၂။ the ~ sb/sth (as sb/sth/that…) တစ်…တည်း။ I saw the same shoes last week for £ 5 less. ❍ I bought the same car as yours/that you did (ie another car of that type).

❏ all/just the same [IDM ] သော်ငြားလည်း။ ဒါပေမဲ့။ All the same, there's some truth in what she says. ❍ He's not very reliable, but I like him just the same. ❍ I didn't need your screwdriver, but thanks all the same (ie for lending it).
❏ amount to / come to / be the same thing [IDM ] အတူတူ။ You can pay by cash or cheque: it comes to the same thing.
