၁။ (က) ခေါင်းညိတ်သည်။ She nodded (her head) in agreement. ❍ I asked her if she wanted to come and she nodded. ❍ She nodded her approval. (ခ) ~ sth(at/ to sb) ခေါင်းညိတ်ပြသည်။ nod a greeting ❍ He nodded to me in welcome. ❍ He nodded to me to leave the room. (ဂ) ~ (to/ towards sb/ sth) မေးထိုး၍ ညွှန်ပြ သည်။ I asked where his wife was and he nodded towards the garden.
၂။ ခေါင်းတညိတ်ညိတ် လုပ်သည်။ He sat nodding in time to the music.
၃။ ခေါင်းငိုက်စိုက်ကျသည်။ He sat nodding by the fire.
၄။ (ပန်း စသည်) လေ၌ တညိတ်ညိတ် လှုပ်ရှားနေသည်။ nodding pansies.
