(ဂ) (before clauses) ပဲ။ ပင်။ အတိုင်း။ It's just what I wanted! ❍ It was just where I expected it to be. ❍ Just what do you think you're doing?
၂။ ~ as (က) အတိုင်း။ It's just as I thought.
(ခ) အခိုက်။ The clock struck six just as I arrived. (ဂ) (before an adj/ adv followed by as ) အတိုင်း။ လိုပင်။ She's just as clever as her sister. ❍ You can get there just as cheaply by air as by train.
၃။ (esp after only ) (က) ရုံမျှ။ ရုံ။ just manage to pass the entrance exam ❍ just miss a target ❍ I can only just reach the shelf, even when I stand on tiptoe. ❍ She only just caught the train.
(ခ) (used before prepositional phrases of time or measurement) အခိုက်။ ရုံမျှ။ It happened just before Christmas. ❍ He weighs just over 60 kilos.

(ခ) ~ about/ going to do sth (referring to the immediate future) လုပ်တုန်း။ ခါနီး။ I was just going to tell you when you interrupted. ❍ The potatoes are just about to boil over.
၆။ ရုံမျှ။ ရုံ။ ဒီအတိုင်း။ just an ordinary day ❍ Don't start worrying just because she's an hour late. ❍ I can't just drop all my commitments. ❍ This essay is just not good enough. ❍ I didn't mean to upset you. It's just that I had to tell somebody. ❍ This is not just another disaster movie: it is a masterpiece.
၇။ (used, esp with the imperative, to cut short a possible argument or delay or to appeal for attention or understanding) ကြည့်စမ်း။ ကြည့်စမ်းပါဦး။ Just listen to what I'm saying, will you! ❍ Just try to understand! ❍ Just look at this!

၁၁။ (infml ) (က) (used for emphasis) တကယ်ပဲ။ အဟုတ်ပဲ။ တကယ့်ကို။ The food was just wonderful! ❍ I can just imagine his reaction.
(ခ) (used to express agreement) တကယ်ပဲ။ 'He's rather pompous. ' 'Isn't he just (ie He certainly is)!’
